Hmph. If you're certain. I'll steer it in your direction, then!
[ This beast is too large to reliably bait in any direction, but at least with it wounded, it moves slower.
And it moves predictably enough, that the next time it resurfaces, Percival can maneuver himself to stand just a little in front of Shura. He ducks down immediately, leaving its belly exposed and ready for the taking by a good shot from her. ]
[So long as he can keep the monster's attention, Shura can find an opening. Brute strength might not something she's known for, but this isn't the first snake she's fought, and it isn't the strongest or smartest one, either.
This opening is just what she needs--as soon as she has a good shot at the underbelly, she's quick to move. Thrusting the oar-spear up and aiming between the scales isn't easy, but the skin underneath isn't difficult to penetrate. The bellowing screech the serpent makes is enough to ring a bit in her ears, but that just means she needs to finish it off before it deafens her. It really isn't helping itself--between the force Shura's putting behind the spear and the serpent's pained struggle, it doesn't take more than a couple seconds for the spear to crack a couple ribs and pierce something vital in the beast.]
[ Fighting monsters while trying to get from point A to point B may as well be another Tuesday for Percival, but he always appreciates having a competent companion. Once he's sure that Shura has landed a killing blow, he watches the serpent fall back into the water in a grotesque display, leaving them coated in varying amounts with a lovely layer of fish blood. ]
Good work. I don't think it has any friends, thankfully.
[fish guts and blood and gross. This is definitely not how Shura wanted her boat ride to go, but at least the boat's all in one piece. Getting the oar out of the thing is another problem, but it's really nothing in comparison to what they'd have to deal with if things had gone worse.]
Good. I--hnngh--this damn oar's stuck, ugh.
[Very firmly lodged between a few ribs. Well, she certainly made her mark.]
You been around here long enough to know if it's worth anything, or are jus' gonna bring bad luck with us if we take a few souvenirs?
[ Percival doesn't really mind the blood, but he's making an appointment to get cleaned up as soon as they head back. ]
Stop wiggling it so much or you'll break it, and I'll have you paddle us back to Wyver.
[ He steps towards the oar and grips it firmly, forcing it out in one upward motion. It's not an easy task, however... she really lodged it in there, which is impressive. It's filthy, but still functional.
Percival raises an eyebrow at her question. ]
You wish to take back parts of this fish for Silver? [ Well.. it is meat. Normally he'd insist on absolutely not, but he knows how important it is to gather silver here as new arrivals. ]
The head should net you a good amount. [ And he doesn't believe in bad luck, so... ]
[Well if he wants to do the dirty work, Shura will gladly let him, and she won't complain a bit! And by not complain a bit, I mean she'll snort at his too tough attitude. It was hard to get a good grip on it when it was bloody and gross and her hand was bloody and gross! But seriously, do the hard work for her. Thanks bro.]
The whole head? ... I guess. I was thinking jus' some teeth or something, but we could fit the whole head in here if we're careful.
[Though... she'll have to take it's head off. Ugggh. Getting sweaty was one think, but blood and sweaty and gut-ty was different. Well, whatever. Maybe there was a hatchet or somewhere in this boat...]
[Hanging something like this in your home would add a certain air... Well, silver was silver was silver. She's able to find something hatchet-y and the net could be useful. Maybe. If nothing else, they could just.. .drag the head or something.]
If I knew I was gonna get this filthy, I woulda worn something else.
[Not that she has much on to begin with... just a stupid bikini and some kind of open button up shirt. She would have taken the shirt off, at least.]

Just die, damn it!
[it is, shura, give it a couple seconds...]

[ While she's looking around the boat for tools, Percival moves the boat closer to where the head still floats. ]
