This is not my doing, you-- urk!
[ Whatever insult he was going to hurl at Reign next is promptly left in his mind (probably where it belongs) as the ship suddenly swerves to the right. His body is lunged forward violently, head hitting the top of the controls with a sudden lurch.
It's painful, and within a second or so, it's pretty easy to see what's happened. They've crashed right into a meteorite, but thanks to the Natha's technology, the ship just bounces back unscathed.
Frantically, he looks around for his companion. ]
Reign! Are you alright?! [ Finally, he uses his actual name, not "fool", "idiot", or any variant of an insult. ]

Hmm. This world, in general, seems to have more of a taste for... how you put it, "decadence and debauchery". But as far as kingdoms go, there aren't too many surprises in either. Both rulers are flawed, perhaps deeply so, but they both seem to consider what's best for their people first and foremost.
[ This is what he lives for, honestly: trying to figure out what makes a good ruler, and what sort of policies he might one day be interested in implementing, and which ones only hurt the people. Let's not dally. This is no time for games.

Human, or animal?!

Right. I suppose a headache can be described as something of a "head wound".
[ He listens to what Richie says very carefully. He has a strange way of phrasing things, but at least this isn't too difficult to understand. Nothing looks out of place or harmful.

I'll defeat it, whether you decide to join in or not!
[ It's not that he wouldn't appreciate the help, it's just that he's come to not depend on it. Especially not from a stranger. Later, he might ask why the hell Kaden thinks this is a laughing matter, because that serpent looks more than eager enough to make them dinner, but there's no time for that now.
The creature roars, coming directly towards them (or more specifically, Percival's head). Percival breaks its trajectory with a broad swing of his sword, not yet conjuring any magic, but at least first attempting to break its balance. ]

[ This is actually kind of interesting to watch. It's fascinating that Keaton has relatively little trouble finding a somewhat peaceful state of mind. He follows directions well, which is a bonus.
Now he just has to take his own advice. He tries to calm himself despite the shaking and lurching forward of the ship, thinking of pleasant memories he's had with others, both here and in his previous world.
It grows quiet in the ship, and eventually, it shakes a little less. It's almost as if he can feel Keaton's own state of peacefulness influencing his thoughts.
It's because that's exactly what's happening. ]

To his credit, whether that insult was directed at him or the creature doesn't matter, because he's too absorbed in getting rid of the threat to give it much thought. That may be so, but it's caused quite a few embarrassing situations here tonight. I'd rather steer clear of them myself.
[ Strangely enough, even as she herself relays not minding such devices, he finds himself increasingly at ease with simple chatter like this. They come from two separate worlds-- that much is evident enough. But he can appreciate people like her, people who revel in the spotlight and create the joy and merriment for others around them to soak in. He himself, though more of an observer, finds his mood lifted by people like her enjoying themselves.
It was simple, when he'd allowed his thoughts to only linger on the festivities. Less so when he's certain he's been caught in his improper stare, and the allusion of what sort of trouble she'd gotten up to makes him visibly flustered. Partially because it's an unexpected thing to mention, yes, but because he's been trying his best to forget his own... festive mishaps of the evening. For someone with as much arrogance and confidence as he has on the battlefield, it's apparently difficult for him to keep his composure. He diverts his gaze to the side now, pointedly not meeting her eyes, much less the curve of her neckline.
The scent of the flowers above them is growing too strong, however, and the urge they inspire is completely at ends with his embarrassment. Eventually, he regains some composure, gingerly closing the fabric around her shoulders and lowering his forehead so that it touches hers. ]
Do keep any further details to yourself, but I'm glad to see that you're settling in comfortably.
[ A flirtatious line like the one she delivers might ordinarily be lost on him, at best understood yet ultimately brushed off, but tonight, her voice very nearly envelopes him with a warmth of her own. This time, his voice is lighter, and he can gradually meet her gaze again. ]
